Naime Tim Sweeney (Osnivač, Tehnički i Izvršni direktor Epic Games-a) je za g4tv.com rekao da Epic nema namjeru izbaciti novi Unreal Tournament nekoliko godina.

No ipak je Sweeney napomenuo da će Epic nastaviti potporu za modding zajednicu, “otvaranjem engina” kako bi ga se moglo lakše koristiti. Koristiti čak do te mjere da se našalio da će im UT4 i 5 biri riješeni od zajednice.
